Essential IFA was set up in 2007 to provide expert, independent financial advice to individuals, offering a more personal touch than is provided by large financial institutions. Essential IFA’s principal is Peter Herd, who has a wealth of experience in financial planning and management, having worked as a financial adviser for major banks and buildings societies.

As an independent financial adviser, Peter is not tied to any provider and provides truly objective advice on a wide range of financial products and services. Services can be provided on a commission or fee basis with complete transparency regarding all charges.
